I
received a very welcome email on Friday (which I didn’t see until this morning)
from the publisher I submitted to last month. They have requested
the full text of “Tears of Heaven” and my marketing plan.
I
hesitate to put an exclamation point at the end of any sentence, partially our
of self-defense and party in the belief of a potential jinx. Even though I don’t believe in them . . .
still, why offend the gods of publishing?
This is the last major hurdle, but it still needs to be crossed. My query letter and sample chapters have all done their jobs, and now I'm at the moment I've been working toward for many, many long years.
If
you haven’t crossed your fingers or offered small sacrifices, feel free to do
so at this time. If you have, stretch,
relax, and then redouble your efforts.
As Princess Leia remarked, “It’s not over yet.”
Congrats man. This is huge.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ed! I couldn't have done this without your support.
DeleteFingers and toes crossed.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lee, I appreciate you walking funny for the next few weeks!
DeleteAlso, congrats. How far are you on the next book? [Get used to it.]
ReplyDeleteFor "Flesh of Legends" I am roughly 2.5 chapters in. I have finished chapter one, and I'm working on chapter two now. I have some information for chapter three already down. It's one of the few times I've actually written ahead of where I am.
